St. Helen Catholic Church
(across from the High School)

This month's concert presents Bruce Tabb and Nathalie Fortin as they return to Junction City to bring exciting music to the community in a delightful program of pieces by Faure, Gaubert, J.S. Bach, Hue, Debussy, and Bohuslav Martinu. The audience should find something to really enjoy in the variety of musical styles Tabb and Fortin have chosen and by the skill of these exceptional performers.

Mr. Tabb holds a masterís degree in flute performance from the Yale School of Music under the tutelage of the late Thomas Nyfenger. Other teachers include Julius Baker and Jean-Pierre Rampal. Bruce has performed in a number of orchestras in Connecticut and New York. Bruce came to Oregon in 1992 to join the library faculty at the University of Oregon Libraries, where he is the Special Collections Librarian. Bruce continues to be active in music, playing recitals in Oregon and his home state of North Carolina.

Ms. Fortin has collaborated with artists in Canada, Europe, and the United States. She regularly performs at Lane Community College, with Eugene Opera, at the Oregon Bach Festival, at the University of Oregon Community Institute, and at the Shedd Institute for the Arts. Ms. Fortin is currently a member of the Columbia Piano Trio, the Cascades Classical Music Foundation, and the Eugene Gleemen, the University of Oregon School of Music and Dance, and Cascadia Concert Opera.

The concert will be followed by a reception.
Donations are accepted for the artists.
