See Photos from other year's Light Parades: 1999 2000 2002 2003 2004
| DECEMBER 7, 2001 - Junction City ( like the rest of the nation ) was in a very patriotic mood after the events of September 11 (see The Flags of Junction City ) so this year's theme was "America". As last year, we enjoyed no rain and moderate temperatures - making it a perfect night for the annual fete. The 47 float entries were enjoyed by a throng of families lining the parade route as it came down Ivy St. from 3rd to 6th Ave. and then traveled down 6th to Greenwood, past the Library and City Hall and back up to Ivy. St. The popular parade repeats the next 2 evenings in Harrisburg Coburg - so you have time to see it again! |
