The 2009 Annual Pet & Costume Parade!
May 2, 2009 - This year's Pet Parade was the first in memory when it rained. But that didn't dampen the spirit of the spectators or participants as the parade made its furry way through downtown. There were, as usual, lots of dogs, but lots of horses, some rabbits, and EVEN fish (who didn't mind the rain at all.) In addition, this year we saw more costumes than usual - including many animals with wings.
As always, a fine time was had by all!

2009 Grand Marshall Don Sherman

The "Mayor of Lancaster", Chuck Cook (who seems to be everywhere) with his wife Lynda keeps the parade and crowd orderly.

The Junction City Polka Band leads the parade. They sure sounded great (especially for a group that claims to never practice!)
